History

The
Teatro Taller Tegucigalpa (Web) was established as a cultural association nonprofit, composed of individuals professionally devoted to the theatrical activity. Its primary purpose is the theatrical arts practice and associated, promoting the integral development of society in general by spreading the arts in Honduras.

Since its founding in 1979, Teatro Taller Tegucigalpa has participated in theater festivals national and international, will represent Honduras in the scenarios Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Cuba, Colombia, Spain, France and Taiwan.

In recent years the Teatro Taller Tegucigalpa has defined a path of strong commitment to social issues and the development of Honduras, with the aim of raising awareness, awareness and training the population on certain issues, promoting messages that affect changes in attitudes and behaviors towards integral human development. In this sense the TTT develops two complementary lines of work. The first is interactive theater workshops and creating collective works for purposes of popular education and awareness. The second, through the design and implementation of cultural projects of social development with the support of international organizations among which the following: ONE DROP, Oxfam Québec, Canadian Agency for International Development (CIDA), Spanish Agency for International Cooperation Development (AECID), European Union, Swedish Agency for International Development (Asdi), UNESCO, National AIDS Forum, Nederland Development Organisation (SNV), HIVOS and more.

Parallel and continuing with the genesis of its founding, continues with the staging of works by authors that address universal themes variables.

Three decades after its birth, TTT remains steadfast in the proposal of a cutting edge entertainment, aesthetic and highly committed to the welfare of society.

Artistic Director

Actor, director y dramaturgo, was born in Tegucigalpa.

Graduated from the National Academy of Dramatic Art in Tegucigalpa, and the National School of Dramatic Art in Bogotá where he earned his title "Master in Drama" by the University of Antioquia, Medellin-Colombia.

Co-founder of Teatro Taller Tegucigalpa in 1979.

As an actor, He has participated in more than 30 plays, including "CALIGULA" for which he received the award from the nominal theatrical review Salvadoran in the Central Festival Theatre Without Borders 1996, with the work "Atravesado" received the Audience Award "Carlos Couceiro" at the Sixth International University Theatre Shows held in the city of Ourense, Spain in the 2001. In 1998 received the Award Extra Entertainment Magazine "Best Theater Director" and "Best Play" Honduran by the work "MISSES THE ORCHESTRA" by Jean Anouilh. In the 2005 receives the "Carlos Mendez" Award in the category International University San Carlos de Guatemala. In 2007 he was awarded the Prix Entertainment Extra Magazine for "Best Play" and "Best Director" for the work "WELCOME" by José Sanchis Sinisterra.

He has directed more than 20 works between theater, film and opera and is the author of several plays and films. As an author he won second place in the National Theatre Prize "José Trinidad Reyes" in 1988 for his work "EL swallower".

He has done extensive teaching at the National Autonomous University of Honduras, Central University of Technology, and the National Pedagogical University Francisco Morazan. He has also played in television as a producer and writer of children's program "KID STUFF" which won the UNICEF Prize media 1998.

As for his experience in film and video has been involved as an actor in the film "GAMING" Tito Estrada and film "MIDNIGHT SOULS" by Juan Carlos Fanconi, “ANITA, THE JACKET OF INSECTS "Hispano Duron and" NO MATCH FOR ALL AMANECE "Ramón Hernández, Francisco Andino y Manuel Villa. He was writer and director of the short film "CLEANING JACKET" from the movie "MI VIDA LOCA" on Honduran gangs, sponsored by the European Union. He serves as Artistic Director of Teatro Taller Tegucigalpa PRASA under the Project sponsored by ONE DROP, the Canadian International Development Agency CIDA and Oxfam Québec. It is independent in theater and television writer.

For his career, was awarded the National Prize for Art "Pablo Zelaya Sierra" 2012.

General Coordinator

Born in Ourense, Spain, resident in Tegucigalpa, Honduras from 1996.

BA in Political Science and Sociology from the Complutense University of Madrid, and Master in Human Resources, obtained at the Higher School of Management Studies , Analysis and Evaluation of the Complutense University of Madrid.

He has played professionally in various fields starting his career in Spain as an analyst of human resources in the field of private enterprise, and, since moving to Honduras, in the field of international cooperation, first with the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation for Development, later as an independent consultant, and in recent years as Executive Producer of stage shows and General Coordinator of the Association Teatro Taller Tegucigalpa, project-oriented culture and development.

Current member of the Court of Honor of the Honduran Community playwrights (COMHTE).
